Informações suplementares Suplementary Information	No inventário energético da COPEL-companhia paranaense de eletricidade foi selecionada alternativa de aproveitamento com as seguintes barragens: Três figueiras - Km 149,2, Ivatuva - Km 248,5, Bela Vista do Ivaí - Km 302,2, São João do Ivaí - Km335,7, Ubaéna - Km 360,8, Foz do Alonzo - Km 399,6, e Salto Ariranha - Km 477,1, estas sendo dotadas de eclusas e poderão permitir a navegação até Teresa Cristina (632 Km), próxima ferrovia RFFSA que passa em Ponta Grossa. A Portobrás (extinta), a secretaria de transportes do Paraná e a COPEL, mediante a convênio, realizaram levantamento de campo e estudos visando o aproveitamento múltiplo deste rio. A secretaria de transportes do Paraná e a COPEL realizaram o estudo de "viabilidade do aproveitamento do baixo custo do rio Ivaí para o transporte e geração de energia" no estirão de 250 Km (Foz / Doutor Camargo).
